Living like Christ..

PASSION 2012 was the greatest way I could have started out my new year! Praising JESUS with 44,000+ college students! Ahhhh.. it was SO good. Not because it was so many people, but it was a true JAM time. (Jesus And Me) I had a blast in my family group and loved the time we all shared together in the morning and nights. It was so cool to see how 7 people who never knew each other before became so close within 4 days. I loved praying with my fiance over the time we were going to have at each session. Thats another thing that makes me fall in love with him, he WANTS to pray with me and LOVES to thank Jesus for me and our relationship. (Makes me wish June 30th were already here!)  Which is why I'll now post this pick to show the TRUE us at Passion!

I take WAY too many pictures on my iPhone using Instagram...
OKAY!! Now that you've seen how great and goofy my future hubs is, we
can get serious with what my heart felt that week and talk some about JESUS!

I'm so thankful and blessed to have heard, LIVE and CRUNK for Christ, Lecrae! He is so legit! He shared songs and then his heart. He talked about how it's not about us, it's about furthering Christ's kingdom and reaching the lost. That sparked something back inside of me. I always thought that people would try and tell me I was crazy for caring for so many people, but I was caring and I STILL DO! The only problem is me ACTUALLY reaching everyone. That is an impossible task for some to think would happen, but I believe that it can! IT can start in just ONE and be a domino reaction with everyone reaching one another's needs and coming to the foot of the cross. We need to stop sticking to the status quo. We need to be REAL and take action! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has felt, or feels a tug like this, which is why I'm starting NOW! I'm gonna be like Lecrae says GO HARD OR GO HOME! Whether it's asking the waiter or waitress whats something I can pray for them about when I get my meal or even just smiling and thanking the greeter in Wal*Mart for giving me my buggy! There is somebody we see and we have NO idea what they may be going through, which is why I'm stopping with the whole "what people might say about me" deal and doing WHAT JESUS WOULD DO! He calls us to be like HIM! When I read that verse I think about how he was in the dirtiest places preaching to the most unwanted people in the cities. We've got to do something, and we've got to DO SOMETHING NOW!

                                                                      Lecrea ROCKIN' the stage!!

Countdowns! Countdowns! Countdowns!

So why not start this blog post by saying I have A LOT to be excited for! I'm sure I get on most  nerves with the whole Twitter hashtags of 'how many more days' and the Facebook status' of how 'I just can't wait' ..So I do apologize for being overly excited, but you see, I'm only getting married ONCE to the most handsome man ever! I love him so much that I just can't help it! Anyway, back to countdowns! I'm not sure about you, but I just love doing countdowns whether it was how many days until show choir tryouts, or how my days until my senior year had come to an end you better bet your bottom dollar there were X's on my calendar. The countdowns i have, you may think are silly, but they help keep my life interesting to say the least. Like in just 12 days we take our engagement photos, in 9 days it's Valentine's Day, in 11 days It'll have been 2 years since Evan asked popped the first major question, which was to be his girlfriend, and in 5 more days I get to visit with him, FINALLY! See! All that is happening just in the month of February. Since Evan and I have been dating the longest we have ever been apart from one another was a full week. It was tough! (I know! I know!  One week isn't bad when most families are having to wait a 365 days for their soldiers to come home, but when you miss somebody, you miss them. It's that simple.) Phone calls and texts just don't do me enough justice, I like the whole quality time experience and his sweet hugs with kisses, but I won't get any more mushy with you. ;) Evan will start his third full week on his job at KLBC; which is wonderful, but makes for a full 3 weeks that I haven't seen him! We skyped a few times and  even used our phones to facetime, but even that, like calls and texts, did me no justice. Which is why I am happy to say that the countdown to when I see him now is just FIVE whole days! I'm not just ready to see him, I'm VERY ready to see him. He has a lot planned for us to do in just the 4 days I have to visit. We're doing Valentine's early too so that means a meal, a movie AND a sweet V-Day surprise! I'll be back to blog about our date, what hanging out with the cool Starke kids is like, how adding some more touches to our house is coming along, and even how we're fancying up the youth building. So now that I've shared my happiness for this countdown I must leave you with the BIGGEST countdown of them all, just 148 days away from saying 'I do' <3
